“HAPPY BIRTHDAY GAB”
I ABSOLUTELY HATE BLOGGING ABOUT THINGS LIKE THIS NOW
But I’m going to do it anyway.
So this is my public letter of appreciation to my annoying older brother.
SUP GAB. It’s Russ. First things first, I’d like to say thank you for all that you’ve done for me and everything you’ve taught me in LIFE. Not even the past few months, but in LIFE. I’ve cried to you about tons of problems, and I’ve lied to you a billion times but it never stopped you from loving me. Lately I see you’ve been in a bump lately with your life. You went through 2 sour break-ups, financial troubles have been coming and going, and Mom’s illness. I understand how hard it is for you. I’ve been very confused to how you’ve been but I cannot question it, because I went through the same thing…and you were there for me. So for you, I’ll be there every step of the way. I never want you thinking that you never have me there for a chat. I know I’m your little brother, but there are things I know that you still don’t. Don’t forget I’ve grown too…So whenever you need that help I’m here dude.
You’ve had me since the beginning. I wouldn’t be who I am today without your guidance, patience, and strict ways of keeping me authentic. You designed my MySpace pages, my Youtube layouts, and even stuck with me in the freezing cold to make music videos at 15 years old. Together we did it all. We won’t stop, and I’m not stopping for you. I will do whatever it takes to take you along with me on my journey to greatness.
You’re a dreamer. You’re ambitious. A lot of the time you don’t put your mind to it but when you do, you do it to the maximum and that’s what I admire out of you. I’ve known you as that ever since I could remember. You’re my father figure. You’re somebody I always wish I was in terms of happiness and personality. I’ll never forget your corky-ness and your ways of getting through situations. You’re a good man. That family you want, you’ll get it. The car you want, you’ll drive it. The money you want, you’ll make it, and you WILL be happy…I promise you.
When we get super rich, we’ll share it. Just like we did with our donuts and cookies when we were young. Or our toys. When I’d play with my toy trains, you helped me build the train tracks. When we played basketball, you taught me how to plan a jump shot. When I needed a signature for legal documents, you gave me one…
and when I needed help to get popular on the internet…
You helped me build an empire.
For that, I am forever in debt to you brother. I’ll never forget it. When you have your model of a wife and your 3 kids, remember that you’ll always have a kid 2 years younger than you that’s proud of you. Always. Through the good and the bad I’ll always be proud of you. Even at the times where I hate you. I’m so proud of you dude, never forget that.
You’ve risked your life for me… and I’d do the same for you. I’m sorry if you ever feel neglect when we go out and fans ask for pictures and you have to be delayed with your schedule. I never want you to feel like you’re “in my shadow” as they say. You’re not. You’re the full vision to what I am and the world should know that. No matter how much money I make, you’ll be part of the reason why I had determination to go get it.
With what we have, we got to take care of mom in her time of sorrow. I know you and I together with Ellyssa can make a difference in her life. I promise you, I’ll love you both with all my heart. Even though I may not show it. Even though I swear a lot, even though it seems like I don’t have my priorities straight….
You’re always first in my life.
I put that on everything.
This is probably a lot to read, but I believe in you. I support your new clothing line, and all the life decisions you will make from this point on.
As big as I may be, and as huge as my buzz is…
I’ll always be your little brother.
I really f*cked myself financially this month, but I promise you a gift this week. I owe you dinner as well, and some bonding time.
You’re everything a little brother would need. I’ll always be that.
Thank you for all the memorable birthdays you’ve given me. Thank you for being there for all the times I needed somebody to lean on.
and thank God you’re alive…
Thank you Gabriel Llantino.
I have way more to write but I’d just make a novel.
I’ll explain more when we’re millionaires.
Happy 21st birthday brother. I love you.
Now be happy. Quit being a drag and love yourself.
